The referral program: free Pro days and earnings

If another creator would get value from Dartzo, you can send them your referral link. They get 30 days of Pro, free, with no card. You get rewards in two forms: free days of Pro as your referrals start using Dartzo, and a share of what they pay if they subscribe. This page explains the whole thing from your side. The public summary is on the referral page and the exact rules are in the Referral Program Terms.

Where to find your link

Click Referrals in the sidebar. The top card, Your link, shows your personal link, with a Copy link button. Your code is based on the letters and digits of your Instagram handle, so it’s easy to remember. Anyone who signs up through your link or enters your code at signup is attached to you.

You can refer from the free plan or a paid one. Below the link are ready-made ways to share it:

• Comment DARTZO — a ready-made automation for your own followers: you post “Comment DARTZO and I’ll DM you the tool I use”, and Dartzo DMs them your link. Press Create it in one tap (you need Instagram connected). If you already have it, it says Already set up.
• Story card — Download story card gives you a 1080×1920 image with your handle and link for your story. Add a link sticker on top.
• Bio line — Copy bio line copies a line you can paste into your Instagram bio.
• Invite someone directly — Share invite opens your phone’s share sheet, or copies a ready-to-send message, so you can send it on WhatsApp, email or anywhere else.

The same page has a What could this be worth? projector with sliders, and lists everyone who used your link, with the status of each and the reason for it.

What the person you refer gets

30 days of the Pro plan, free, with no card. It starts when they sign up. If they decide to buy a plan before it ends, their paid time starts when the free time does, so none of it is lost. They must be new to Dartzo: a new account, made through your link or with your code. Existing users who click it are welcome, but they don’t count as referrals.

Those 30 days count as that person’s one free trial. They can’t stack with the 14-day trial, and AI replies during them use the same fixed trial allowance. See Plans and features and AI credits.

When a referral counts: proof, not a click

A signup alone doesn’t earn you anything. A referral is activated when all three have happened:

   They signed up through your link or code

   The link attaches them to you the moment they sign up.

   They connected an Instagram account Dartzo has never seen

   One Instagram account counts once, ever, under any user or email. This stops the same account being recycled to farm rewards.

   One DM was delivered to a real fan

   That first delivered DM is the proof they’re actually using Dartzo. See How delivery works.

If a referral doesn’t count, the Referrals page says so and shows the reason. Nothing is decided silently.

Reward 1: free days of Pro

You earn free Pro days at four milestones, measured in activated referrals. Each milestone is earned once and your count never resets.

On the free plan, the days are applied to your account at once, chained after any free time you already have. On a paid plan, they go into your balance at your own plan’s daily value, and an Apply … days to my plan button on the Referrals page turns them into time on your plan, moving your next charge later.

Reward 2: a share of what they pay

When someone you referred subscribes, you earn a share of what they pay, for 12 months from their first payment. The percentage depends on how many of your referrals are paying at the time the share vests:

• What it’s a share of: the amount actually paid, before tax.
• How you see it: as a balance in Indian rupees on the Referrals page. It appears once there’s something to show. Earnings reads “You’ve earned …”, with an amount vesting (pending until the refund window passes) and a lifetime figure.
• Vesting: each payment vests 14 days after it’s made, the refund window. A refund or chargeback inside that window cancels that share. One after it is deducted from your balance, which can go below zero and is netted against future earnings.
• Free days aren’t taken back if a referred person later refunds.

Payouts

Be clear on this one: the balance isn’t cash yet. The Referrals page says, “Payouts are coming — we’ll reach out when yours is ready.” How a balance is settled (as time on your plan, as a payment or a mix) is agreed with you case by case, and we’ll contact you when yours is ready. Until then it stays in your account and keeps growing. It lapses 12 months after your last login, and is removed if you delete your account. The terms have the exact wording.

Let your fans know: the referral message

Under Settings, the section Share your referral offer with fans controls an optional message. When it’s on, after someone gets the link they asked for, they get one more DM with your code and the offer of a free month. A few details:

• The switch is Send my referral offer to fans. Turning it off asks you to confirm first, because it stops your code reaching your fans.
• You choose how long after their link it goes: 1, 2, 3, 6 or 12 hours.
• Only people who messaged your account get it, at most once every 30 days, and never anyone who already uses Dartzo.
• You can write your own text. Leave it empty for ours, and keep {{code}} in it. Use {{first_name}} for their name. The preview shows what goes out.
• It’s kept separate from your reports, so it never inflates your delivered numbers.

What’s not allowed

• Referring yourself in any form: a second account, another email, or accounts referring each other in a loop.
• Posting your link in comments on other people’s content, or sending it to people who haven’t asked for it.
• Paid advertising on Dartzo’s name or brand terms, and listing your link on coupon or deal sites.
• Creating or buying Instagram accounts to trigger activations.
• Misrepresenting the offer or claiming to speak for Dartzo.

We may put rewards on hold while we review activity that looks like a breach. Nothing is deleted during a review, and if the activity is genuine the hold is released. Confirmed breaches forfeit the rewards concerned and can end your participation. The rules can change; changes apply to activity after the change, and rewards already vested are honoured.
