Notifications: what Dartzo tells you and when
Updated
Dartzo follows one rule for notifications: a notification has to earn the interruption. If a message wouldn’t change what you do next, it doesn’t get sent. That’s why you won’t get a buzz for every lead or every single DM that fails to send. Those details live in your Leads and in the Queue (see Troubleshooting), where you can read them when you choose. What you get instead is the short list below: things that need you, things that cost you money or time, and a few wins.
Where notifications reach you
- Push notifications on the phone app. They arrive on your phone, and every one of them is also listed on the app’s Notifications screen. The push and the list come from the same source, so they can never disagree. See Using the phone app.
- Email. A performance summary you choose the rhythm of, plus a few emails tied to your account (receipts, cancellations, sign-in links and referral updates).
Each is sent once. A push is never repeated, and the copy states a fact (“@maya stops sending on 18 Sep”) rather than a vague warning.
What you’ll be notified about
Urgent: your account can’t do its job
These are the only notifications allowed to arrive during quiet hours.
| When | You’ll see |
|---|---|
| Instagram is disconnected | “Instagram is disconnected — @handle needs reconnecting, nothing can send until it is.” See Reconnect Instagram. |
| Your Instagram access is about to expire (within 7 days) | “@handle stops sending on 18 Sep. Reconnect it before then.” |
| Sending is paused for your account | “Sending is paused — @handle can’t send right now. Reconnect it to start again.” |
| A webhook of yours has failed ten times in a row | “Your webhook is failing — deliveries to … have failed 12 times in a row.” |
Money and plan
| When | You’ll see |
|---|---|
| A payment didn’t go through | “Payment didn’t go through. Update your payment details to keep everything running.” |
| Free plan time is about to end (3 days) and you haven’t subscribed | “Your free Pro time ends soon.” The tier named is the one you have free. |
| Free days were added to your account | “30 free days of Pro added” on joining through a referral link, or when you earn referral days. |
| AI credits reach 80%, and again at 100% | “80% of this month’s AI credits used,” then “AI credits used up for this month,” with the date they return. See AI credits. Replies on your own AI key don’t count toward it. |
Milestones and wins
| When | You’ll see |
|---|---|
| Your first DM is delivered | “Your first DM went out — a comment just became a conversation.” |
| Delivered DMs pass 100, 500, 1,000, 5,000, 10,000, 25,000, 50,000, 100,000 | “10,000 DMs delivered.” |
| Your first lead; then 10, 100, 1,000 leads | “Your first lead — @name left their details.” / “100 leads captured.” |
| Followers pass 1K, 5K, 10K, 15K, 20K, 25K, 50K, 100K | “Congratulations — 10,000 followers.” |
| Monday morning, if you grew | “+312 followers last week.” Growth only, so a quiet week sends nothing. |
| A record day: at least 50 DMs and clearly more than any day in the last three months | “10 Sep: 240 DMs delivered — more than any day in the last three months.” |
| Someone joins through your referral link, and when a referral activates | “Someone joined with your link.” / “A referral activated.” See Referral program. |
| A broadcast finishes | “Broadcast finished — ‘Launch’ reached 1,180 of 1,200 people.” See Broadcasts. |
| A next-post automation finds your new post | “Your new post is covered — ‘Link please’ is live on it.” See Apply to next post. |
Nudges and reminders
| When | You’ll see |
|---|---|
| You posted and nothing is attached to the new post (a couple of hours later) | “New post, nothing attached. Comments on your new post won’t turn into DMs until an automation is on it.” |
| An automation paused because its post was deleted | “A post is gone — the post behind ‘…’ was deleted, so the automation is paused.” |
| You reach 100 live automations on the free plan | A notice that you’ve hit 100 live automations, with the choice to pause one or upgrade |
| A day after sign-up with no automation yet | A nudge to connect Instagram or build your first automation. |
| A draft has sat unpublished for 3 days | “Still a draft — ‘…’ has been a draft for 3 days.” |
| Nothing live for 7 days after you’ve built something | “Nothing is live. Go live in a minute and comments turn into DMs.” |
| You’ve been invited to a workspace | “You’re invited to … Accept the invite on the web dashboard.” |
Summaries
| When | You’ll see |
|---|---|
| Daily at 9:00, your time, only if something happened the day before (a DM, a click or a lead) | “Your daily summary — 10 Sep: 84 DMs delivered · 12 link clicks · 3 leads.” |
| When your weekly email goes out | “Your weekly digest is ready.” |
Quiet hours
Between 22:00 and 08:00 in your own timezone, Dartzo holds every notification except the urgent ones above. Held notifications aren’t lost: they go out in the first batch after 08:00. Your timezone is detected from your device when you sign in. You can see or change it under Settings → Timezone. If none is saved, Dartzo uses Indian time (Asia/Kolkata).
Change what you get
On the phone app, open Settings and find the Notifications group. It has an Email digest selector and five push switches:
| Setting | Controls |
|---|---|
| Email digest (Off / Daily / Weekly) | The performance summary by email. Same choice as on the web. |
| Account paused or disconnected | The urgent group: disconnected, expiring access, paused sending and a failing webhook. |
| Payments and plan | Failed payment, free time ending, free days added, and AI credit notices. |
| Milestones and wins | First DM, DM, lead and follower milestones, record days, referrals, finished broadcasts and covered posts. |
| Nudges and reminders | The nudges listed above. |
| Daily summary and weekly digest | The daily push at 9:00 and the “weekly digest is ready” push. |
On the web, open Settings and use the Email notifications section: Weekly summary (one report every Monday: DMs sent, leads captured, link clicks), Daily summary (a short report every morning, best for high-volume accounts) or Off (no performance emails). The choice saves as you click it.
Your phone has its own notification permission for the app, separate from these switches. If you’ve told your phone to block Dartzo’s notifications, none will arrive however you set things here.
Emails you’ll get besides the summary
- Billing emails (payment receipts, renewal reminders and cancellation confirmations) are always sent, as the Settings page says. See Billing and invoices.
- Sign-in emails, such as a password reset or a sign-in link, when you ask for one.
- Referral emails as your referrals sign up, activate and unlock rewards. See Referral program.
- A reconnect request, if your sends start failing with a permission error and we’ve asked you to reconnect.
- Product updates from us now and then. Their Unsubscribe link stops those without muting a digest you still want.
