Plans and features: what each plan includes
Updated
Dartzo has four plans: Free, Pro, Max and Ultra. The core of the product — turning a comment into a DM — is on all of them. Paid plans add the tools for growing from there: follow-ups, lead capture, broadcasts, more AI and, at the top, teams and the API. For what each costs, see the pricing page. Prices live there so this page never goes out of date.
What every plan includes
- Automations on posts and reels, plus story replies, story mentions and DM keywords. See Build your first automation.
- The follow-before-DM gate. See Access gate and follow.
- Delivery with a queue and an honest status on every message. See How delivery works.
- AI replies from your FAQs, with a monthly AI-credit allowance on every plan, the free one included. See AI replies.
- No limit on how many contacts you can have.
No plan sells you more sends than Instagram allows. Instagram’s own rules and Dartzo’s safety guards apply equally to every account. See Limits and windows.

Each “Yes” is enforced by the server, not just hidden in the interface. If you try to use a feature your plan doesn’t include, you get a clear message and an upgrade prompt. It’s never a silent failure.
The free plan’s 100-automation limit is a fair-use bound, not a feature gate. It exists so “no cap” can’t mean an unbounded bill for a scripted account. You see the number on the Billing page, and you’re warned as you near it. Only live automations count; drafts don’t.
Where each feature lives
- Follow-up messages, extra buttons, ready-made replies, “If buttons can’t be sent”: the automation studio. Locked rows are marked Pro and open the plans when you click them.
- Lead capture: Capture leads in DM in the studio, then the Leads page for the list and Export CSV. Asking for an email or phone with Collect info is free on every plan. See Collect emails and phone numbers in DMs.
- Broadcasts and the bio page: see Broadcasts and Link-in-bio page.
- Skip the opening message / When a DM can’t be delivered: sections in Settings with those names.
- Own AI key: AI Agent, then Step 3 Advanced. See Use your own AI key.
- API and webhooks: Settings, then Integrations.
- Team seats: Settings, then Workspace & team.
The 14-day free trial
If you’re on Free, the Billing page offers a trial: Try any paid plan free for 14 days, with buttons Try Pro free, Try Max free and Try Ultra free. The same offer appears as Try free for 14 days when you tap a locked feature.
- No card needed. Nothing is charged, and nothing renews. When the 14 days end you’re back on Free unless you choose a plan.
- Every feature of the plan you pick works during the trial.
- 75,000 AI credits for the whole trial to try the AI agent, instead of the plan’s monthly allowance. See AI credits.
- One trial per person and per Instagram account. You need a confirmed email and a connected Instagram account to start one, and you can’t start one if you’re on, or have had, a paid plan. If you joined with a friend’s referral link, your 30 free days of Pro count as your one trial. See Referral program.
If you choose to pay before the trial is over, the days you have left carry into checkout, so you aren’t charged until they’re used. See Billing and invoices.
When you move to a lower plan
Moving down, or a trial ending, never deletes what you built. Your automations, leads and history stay. What changes is which paid features keep working. A feature your new plan doesn’t include degrades to the free behaviour instead of breaking:
| If it was on | What happens after |
|---|---|
| Follow-up messages | The first message still goes out; the follow-up part is dropped. |
| Lead capture | The DM still goes out; the contact isn’t saved, and CSV export is locked. Contacts you already captured stay. |
| Ready-made replies, your own button-fallback wording | When messages send, the free behaviour applies instead (your own public reply, and your automation’s own message text). |
| Extra link buttons | Saving a new or changed automation that uses them is refused with an upgrade prompt. |
| Skip the opening message, public reply on a failed DM | They stop, and the normal free behaviour returns. |
| Your own AI key | Replies stop using it and use Dartzo credits instead. The saved key stays until you remove it. |
| More than 100 live automations (on Free) | They aren’t deleted, but you can’t publish new ones until you’re under 100. |
Billing details such as cancelling, and when a lower plan starts, are in Billing and invoices.
