Dartzo vs LinkDM: hourly queues vs visible outcomes
Updated
LinkDM and Dartzo are close cousins. Both are built around Instagram comment-to-DM automation, both lean on Meta's official API, and both have a free plan. The differences are in how they bill, how they handle the moment Instagram says "slow down", and what you can see afterwards. This page lays them side by side using what each says on its own pages, checked on 26 October 2026.
What each tool is for
LinkDM presents itself as Instagram DM automation with a long feature list: comment triggers on posts and reels, story replies, Next Post and Next Story, flows, reminder DMs, lead generation, a follower growth tool and Instagram Live automation, with Facebook DM automation as a second channel. Its plans scale by the number of DMs per month and the number of Instagram accounts.
Dartzo is Instagram only. It turns comments on posts and reels, story replies, story mentions and DM keywords into automatic DMs, with a follow-before-DM gate, follow-ups, broadcasts and AI replies from your own FAQs. Its organising idea is accountability: every DM ends as sent, expired or failed, with a reason, and nothing disappears quietly. See how delivery works.
Pricing, side by side
Prices checked on 26 October 2026 from linkdm.com/pricing. LinkDM bills in USD; we did not find an INR price. No trial is stated on the page.
| LinkDM plan | Monthly | Yearly | Accounts | DM limit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $0 | 1 Instagram account | 1,000 DMs per month |
| Pro | $19 | $182 (20% off) | Up to 3 | 25,000 DMs per month |
| Platinum+ | $99 | $832 (30% off) | Up to 10 | 300,000 DMs per month |
| Partner / Enterprise | Contact sales | Contact sales | Not stated | Not stated |
A caution from the page itself: the monthly DM limits are written as totals, while the yearly plans describe them per account, and the Pro card and the comparison table disagree about whether Slow Down Mode is on Pro. Confirm the exact allowance with LinkDM before you rely on it.
Dartzo is billed in INR (UPI, cards or net banking) and has four plans, Free, Pro, Max and Ultra. Nothing is priced by how many DMs you send or how many people you reach. Contacts are unlimited on every plan, and the free plan carries a fair-use bound of 100 live automations. Current rates: /pricing. What each tier unlocks: plans and features. A 14-day trial of any paid plan needs no card.

Delivery and failed messages
Both tools acknowledge that Instagram limits how fast you can send. LinkDM says it uses a conservative DM send limit aligned with Instagram's guidelines. On Pro, DMs are queued to send at the start of the next hour, and Platinum+ adds a DM Overflow Queue (the comparison table also names a High Volume Rate Limiter). We did not find a description of what happens to a message that fails, or of a per-message outcome you can look up.
Dartzo queues too, but the focus is on the record. A matched comment becomes a job with a deadline, the last moment Instagram will accept a reply to it. If Instagram will take it now, it goes now; otherwise it waits in line, oldest first. Each job finishes as sent, expired or failed, and a failure carries a reason such as an expired connection, listed in the error reference. Pacing uses small random gaps between sends so a viral post does not arrive as one wall of requests. The numbers are in limits and windows.
Both approaches can leave a fan waiting: queues exist because Instagram caps sending. The difference is whether you can open a log and see what happened to each person. Dartzo does not promise every DM arrives. Some people have blocked messages and some windows close, and those are reported, not hidden.
Connecting your account
LinkDM's FAQ states that Instagram's API requires users to log in with Facebook, and it describes no Instagram Login option. Dartzo uses Instagram Login: you approve three permissions on Instagram's own screen, no Facebook Page is involved and no password is shared. You need a Business or Creator account either way (account requirements). If you have never linked a Facebook Page, that is one fewer thing to set up.
A busy day, compared
Imagine a Reel that takes off and collects 800 comments of your keyword in an afternoon. On either tool the first stretch of DMs goes out quickly, and then Instagram's hourly limit starts to matter. On LinkDM's Pro plan the overflow waits for the start of the next hour, and on Platinum+ an overflow queue is described. On Dartzo the overflow waits in line oldest first, each job holding a deadline of roughly 6 days 18 hours for a post comment.
The difference you will notice is the next morning. On Dartzo you can open the log and see how many people are sent, how many are still queued, and how many ended expired or failed with a reason. If the answer is "a few dozen could not be reached", you know it, and you can decide whether to follow up another way. The analytics guide explains how the counts relate to conversations rather than raw messages.
Neither tool can break Instagram's rules for you. One private reply per comment is a Meta limit, not a vendor choice, and any tool promising to beat it is risking your account.
Where LinkDM is the better choice
- You need Instagram Live automation today. LinkDM lists it on Pro; Dartzo does not offer Live comments yet.
- You want Facebook DM automation too. LinkDM covers Instagram and Facebook; Dartzo is Instagram only.
- You send very high volumes and want a dedicated overflow queue. Platinum+ names one explicitly, with plans up to 300,000 DMs per month stated.
- You want multi-step flows from one plan. LinkDM lists flow automation on Pro; Dartzo's multi-message tools are follow-ups.
- You prefer paying in dollars and have no need for INR billing.
Dartzo fits better when you want rupee billing, plans that do not move with audience size, Instagram Login without a Facebook Page, and a visible outcome for every message.
